Five things we do that
most agencies don't.
After 20+ years working as contractors in the IT industry, we wanted to build a business purely focused on contractors. That means less stress, more consistency, and a better day-to-day experience for the people doing the work.
Full Price Transparency
You see a clear rate breakdown and every statutory oncost before you sign anything. No estimates, no vague 'industry standard' answers. Just the full picture.
No Lock-In Clauses
We never include restraint of trade or lock-in clauses. You stay because the service is good, not because you're contractually stuck.
Flexible Payment Cycles
Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. You choose what works for your cash flow. We just need an approved timesheet.
No Hidden Surprises
No admin fees. No joining fees. No exit fees. No 'processing charges'. The rate you agree to is the rate you receive, paid on consistent, fixed days. Contractors are paid on the agreed cycle, even before payment is received from the department.
We Generate Work
We actively pursue opportunities for you through our network, not just waiting for BuyICT to surface roles. Your downtime is our problem to solve.

Many ICT contractors have no transparency with their current agency and do not realise they can change representation between engagements.
Hyperion IT helps contractors who want better representation, clearer numbers, and a practical switch path before renewal or the next financial year.

Want to sense-check your current rate?
We keep the full calculator on the contractors page so there is one consistent version of the tool across the site.

Worried about a restraint clause?
Worried about a restraint clause?
Restraint clauses in standard contractor agreements are often narrower in practice than they appear. Courts apply strict scrutiny to them under Australian law.

Common concerns
Nervous about making the move? You are not alone.
Here is what contractors actually worry about and the honest answers.
Yes, your APS manager will need to process your preferred agent request, but this is a standard procurement action, not a personal decision. Under the BuyICT Labour Hire panel framework, you can nominate your preferred ICT agent. Managers are generally expected to consider value for money under Commonwealth Procurement Rules. A more transparent agent supports that obligation. This is general guidance on the framework, not legal advice.
