About the Role
Project Managers plan and manage the delivery of projects (Delivery Manager).
Delivery Managers work in product-focused teams to deliver end-to-end services and to support them in production.
As a Delivery Manager Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of technical projects and services including overseeing the technical execution, managing technical teams and ensuring the timely delivery of the project in alignment with business objectives.
Key duties
Identify key business objectives to deliver business outcomes and benefits.
Manage scope of projects from inception to closure. Define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets.
Coordinate resources, prepare project teams for kick-off and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
Ensure project consultants are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards.
Ensure delivery processes are efficient and cost effective.
Ensure technical teams adhere to industry best practices, standards and methodologies.
Lead and manage technical teams including developers, engineers and other technical professionals.
Identify and manage risks related to the technical delivery.
Provide expertise to support teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Timely escalation of issues and risks with mitigation options to support informed decision making.
Ensure project status reports are generated against business objectives by making use of project management methodologies and frameworks.
The preference is for the services to be performed in Canberra, however other locations of Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne may be considered. A hybrid flexible working arrangement may be considered, ensuring the Labour Hire Worker’s residing address is within reasonable travel time and distance of the RFQ location to present onsite in cases of emergency or to meet business requirements. The location is the capital city of selected state/s.

Essential
Monitors and maintains financial records to agreed requirements for compliance and audit.
Assists with identifying and calculating process, service, project and component costs for financial planning and budgeting.

Enables continual improvements to change management methodology, tools and training necessary to enhance the maturity across the organisation.Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects.
Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools. Ensures that effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes are employed and maintained.
Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital expenditures against the project budget.
Manages the expectations of key project stakeholders.Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.
Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to the development of organisational methods and standards for requirements management.
Obtains input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders. Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.
Establishes requirements baselines. Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
Acts as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.
Facilitates business decision-making processes. Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
Additional requirements
The services require the Labour Hire Worker to currently hold a Baseline Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of the contract.
To identify potential conflicts of interest, is the candidate a director/owner/account manager/partner of a Seller registered on BuyICT? If so, provide the Position Title, Seller Name and Seller ABN.
Provide details (e.g. manager, branch) of candidate's previous worked history either as a contractor or employee for the Buyer including its former agencies such as the Department of Human Services.
Seller has obtained the Candidate’s consent to be exclusively represented by the Seller for this RFQ. (Note: The Buyer does not want the same candidate submitted by multiple Sellers).
Provide 2 referee details for candidate (name and contact details) who can confirm the candidate’s skills/knowledge to fulfill this role. Referees can be a previous manager (within the last 4 years).
