About the Role

The department is seeking an experienced Test Lead to meet emerging needs of the department and business areas.
Key Duties
As a Test Lead, you will be required to:
Lead and oversee testing deliverables to meet the delivery goals, scope and timeframes for the development of an enterprise-class computer system.
Establish a test strategy and test plans based on agreeing priorities and aligning with the department’s agile delivery methodology.
Support delivery managers with testing estimations at sprint, PI and project level.
Ensure consistency and coherence across test case with an understanding of efforts delivery timeframes.
Lead test release activities including reporting test status updates and test sign off readiness.
Manage, record and analyse actions and results, carrying out tasks for incident management, change management, and defect reporting.
Document the tools to be used and ensure team members know how to use the tools as expected.
Ensure coherent testing across manual and automated testing.
Requirements

Essential Criteria
Relevant experience leading the testing of enterprise-class software system and integration of large-scale systems using manual and automated testing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Relevant experience working with delivery management to prioritise testing effort to ensuring effective coverage, accurate testing documentation, and reporting of defects and issues, and tracking the resolution of defects/issues in alignment with a test plan and test strategy.
Demonstrated experience testing APIs, Azure DevOps and SQL (SQL Visual Studio) in context of setting up and evaluating testing.
Strong personal qualities including well developed communication skills, an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, sound prioritisation, time management and organizational skills. Must also have strong personal drive and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in a Government Agency is desired, including the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
